The One Ring serves as an engine of domination and concealment. When worn by anyone but Sauron, it renders the bearer invisible to physical sight, shifting them into the Wraith-world where they remain vulnerable to the gaze of Nazgûl and other dark entities. It unnaturally extends life, stretching the wearer’s existence until their spirit withers, as seen in Gollum’s decay. While it amplifies the innate authority of wizards or kings, it inevitably corrupts noble intent into tyranny. Resistance requires a will of iron, yet none are truly immune. Conventional destruction is impossible; the Ring is immune to all fire save that of Mount Doom, Orodruin, its place of origin.
